Course Objective
To provide a fully realistic approach to the role of a professional receptionist. To give you the confidence to be a professional.
Course Dates
One day course 09:30 to 17:00. Next date 2nd July 2012. The course aims at getting you job ready within the two day course frame or to enforce skills for those wishing to fill profesional receptionist roles over a longer term.
It is also geared to allow the addition of supplementary office skills training on a flexi-time basis after the course for those looking to perform other tasks whilst performing as a receptionist or to bolster current skills levels on office systems..

- Know your company so you can project its image.
- The importance and effect of personal appearance
- The friendly but professional approach.
- Effective listening
- Know regular clients and let this be seen
- Communication skills for receptionist, the importance of body language
- The importance of quality customer service
- The ability to be assertive
- Multi tasking and multiple simultaneous clients
- Telephones and their effective use
- Difficult situations
- Use of positive but firm techniques
N.B The course does not include training in client technical equipment and specialised software, which is generally trained at client premises on the system used at a particular location.
Course Delivery
Live and very interactive tutor sessions with some role play.
Cost efficient technical skills options can be added as extras to bolster other skills.
Course requirement
Good basic education; English GCSE or equivalent will be useful. Some office experience will help or you may wish to consider our Secretary and/or Receptionist foundation course as a base.
