Course objective
To make the inteview process less daunting. To provide skills which will give the course participant an edge where competitive interviewing is involved. Structure and date The course is designed as a one day course for delegates' convenience. The course will run 11:00 to 16:00 with a light lunch included in the course fee so that time can be concentrated efficiently. Course content -Reading between the lines with regard to adverts -Tailoring CV to job application -Cover letters -First impressions -Preparing for the interview -Prep for standard questions -How to get yourself out of a sticky situation -How to buy yourself thinking time -Questions to ask and not to ask -How to answer interviewer's questions in a structured manner -What interviewers are looking for -How to handle practical tasks -How to ensure the interviewer walks away without niggles about you -Following up -How to secure a second interview -Learn from mistakes -Take positives from each interview -Confidence building What will I get out of it?
